The Candy Factory „Pszczółka” is a producer of hard and filled candy, well-known and appreciated by consumers all over the country.

“Pszczółka” is a manufacturer with vast experience. It was founded in 1952, and since 1961 it has been operating as part of the Lublin Sugar Factory, which is now a Division of Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa S.A. Over the last fifty years, several generations of Poles have become familiar with the taste of its sweet products, and “Pszczółka” has been manufacturing confectionery on the basis of its own recipes which combine tradition and changing customers` preferences. The product range includes a wide selection of caramels sold in a variety of attractive packages. These are, among others, the traditional “Kukułki”, the well-known and valued “Raczki”, popular hard candy and a great assortment of other mint and fruit candies. In order to meet the challenges of the market, the factory has been constantly extending its range. In 1997 “Pszczółka” was the first company to introduce fizzy candy to the Polish market, known as “Musss…”, awarded in the Consumers’ Product Quality Competition with the certificate “Good because it’s Polish”. In 2000 it launched onto the market “Jogusie”, a confection with milk filling, which introduced a whole new caramel-flavoured line, being a perfect combination of fruit and milk. The product received a warm welcome from the customers and was awarded the promotional emblem “Agropolska”.

The latest “Pszczółka” product is the chocolate-filled mint candy “Miętowe Lubelskie z Czekoladą” which won the main prize in the “Wojewódzki Lider Smaku 2006” competition. “Miętowe Lubelskie z Czekoladą” are filled caramels with a combination of the pleasant taste of chocolate melting in the mouth and the delicate tang of refreshing mint.

Bearing in mind the quality of the products and the satisfaction of the consumers, the Candy Factory “Pszczółka” implemented in 2003 the Integrated Quality Management System, according to the norm ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP and in 2007 the Food Safety Management System according to the norm ISO 22000:2005. In the interests of the constant improvement of our products and maintaining our high quality level, in 2007 the Candy Factory “Pszczółka” launched a new line for the production of caramels in the Production Plant in Opole Lubelskie.

Already this year another investment of the Candy Factory “Pszczółka” will be implemented in Lublin, facilitating the production of a new line containing chocolate. The modernisation of the plant, the introduction of new technologies, improving the qualifications of the employees and constant care for product safety guarantee the production of caramels of the highest quality.
